Design of a holiday home with lake view in collaboration with Cigno Immobiliare

A project that has kept us busy for a long time, but which has brought a lot of satisfaction given the enormous transformation of the spaces: basically starting from an unfinished, historical house and also with some problems of stability of the slabs, the project has developed in different phases in coordination with all the professionals and organizations involved. After the safety measures, the renovation work began on the interior systems and in parallel we were preparing an aesthetic furnishing project that would lead to at least six beds and two bathrooms, as well as a common area for meals and relaxation, all with an eye for the priceless view of Lake Como and its villas. Having to reuse some of the client's furnishings, including wooden furniture from the 1900s and some more recent ones, our project had to take into consideration many different colors and materials, basing ourselves on the products we had available and balancing them in harmony with new contemporary pieces. The living area is certainly the one that most stimulated us in this search for balance: antique chairs and tables, a Chesterfield-style sofa, aluminum tubular tables and lamps and our new combination with an oregano-colored kitchen and a ceiling lamp Foscarini with a slightly retro aesthetic. The bedroom remains more fluid and bright thanks to the light wood structure with bunk beds and sliding beds, thus offering up to four beds, but without sacrificing the comfort and livability of the room. The master bedroom has been designed with a strong focus on the link between inside and outside, orienting the bed towards the lake view and creating a raised structure for reading and relaxing. The strong point of the room is not only the orientation, but also the use of warm lights and golden references also in the proposed furnishings, combined with the lamps by Catellani&Smith that channel attention thanks to the gold leaf.
Finally, great attention has also been paid to the bathrooms, where we have included a Megius hammam shower in black marble effect, in contrast with the calacatta-style white marble effect cladding, and, in the second bathroom, a totally custom-made bathtub covered with the same wall tiles.
A prestigious holiday home that allows you to fully enjoy relaxation, the external view, the proximity to the lake and without missing all the internal comforts.
